Charango 

Popular Latin American instrument.   The back of this unique instrument is made from the shell of an armadillo.   (animal)   This instrument is hand made and brought from Costa Rica.

This 10 String instrument has the strings set up in 5 pairs.  Open Tuning for the strings are:  1 and 2  (e above middle c),  3 and 4  (a below middle c), 5 (e below middle c) and 6 (e above middle c) are an octave, 7 and 8 (c ) are equal, 9 and 10 (g below middle c) are equal. 

This tuning creates a distinct multi string instrument sound.   Fingerboard is scaled to 14 frets.   Included with a bag.
